500lbs is very easy.
Mine was 500lbs before I put a small battery in, but I haven't weighed it since the lightweight battery. Should be somewhere between 490-492.

Some guys have them down to 460lbs. Not super street able , but it depends on what you call "street able"

my bike fully dressed and streetable was around 445-450lbs. cant see getting it much lighter and still being steetable. it should be down to around 420lbs now since the make over. our grudge 14 is around 385lbs but of coarse its not streetable.

What are you guys doing to get the 14's down to that weight?

We're at 511 with a gallon or so of gas. But to be honest, we haven't done much in the way of weight reduction other than removing one front rotor, changing exhaust and putting an RB 12 cell battery in it. I'd like to have it around 475 but just don't see that happening any time soon. No money for BST's.

For my 14R, I quickly dropped around 70 lbs from it:

Exhaust 35.7
Extra Stuff (rear fender, toolkit, etc). 5.8
Pegs/Stand/Gas Cap 2
BST Rear Wheel Swap 9.9
Lowering links .4
BST Front Wheel Swap 6.9
Lighter Bar Ends 1.2
Battery 8 lbs

That should put my 14R at about 490 lbs with 1.5 gallons of gas. I weigh my parts with accurate scales.

My Gen 1 was around 455 lbs with 2 gallons of gas. It had a single front brake and no headlights. For most solo, semi-sane, street riding I found the single brake to be enough with such a relatively light bike.

My 14R:

With full headlight, that bike would have been about 460.5 lbs with 1.5 gallons of gas. And it is possible to go a fair bit lighter, if you know where to look.

I weighed mine a couple weeks ago at the track and it was 518. I haven't done much to lighten it. Just removed rear sets, got a seat pan, 1000 front fender.

You had to have changed the exhaust as well.. right? 518 is great and based on your description virtually impossible. ;) Put up a pic.
