Mph questioned and corrected. Yes my dear "exceedingly father loving son" did his best to boost my moral. Cannot blame him for that seeing I may not be here long. What more could one ask of one's son. His stint at MIT should be interesting. Wish I could be there when he graduates.
Yes 230 is a joke. Best wishes to you and yours

G.F.D.!!!

You know, it WAS dropped. But, as usual for you, let's keep dragging up more old shit ...

First of all, let me say that the fastest I have ever been on a bike is about 175mph possibly 180, I'm not sure. I have been riding on the street and occasional track days (road courses) for about 25 years. I can promise you that my distance acuity is good enough to tell the difference between 140mph and 170mph with the tape over my speedo and no GPS. I can imagine that it would work just as well for me to tell the difference between 180mph and 220mph. There is a HUGE difference in either set of speeds!

We have guys here on this forum that bust their asses for weeks to prepare for and TRY to break the 200 mark at a sanctioned event, on a CLOSED course. Some do, some do sometimes, and some are dilligently working to get better and hit that goal. Then to have some asshat like you running around the interwebs posting that you've been 230 on a 14 with fuckin airhorns, a touring windscreen, and no build sheet??? WTF??? And on the street at that??? WTF??? Everything about your "brag" points to bullshit and ANY rider worth his salt would know that. I'm not so sure that you have a 14r and I'm pretty sure that you shouldn't even be on one.

Fuck your side sad story and your whining. You should have easily known the 40 to 60 mph (or more) difference. I'm calling a spade a spade.

Sin

PS ... I saw a Vespa for sale on Craigslist if you're interested ...

it might have been a touch brutal but as someone struggling to break that 200mph barrier and (as many others) don't have extra time to reread 2 year old threads I only have one thing to add.
:thanks:Sin

gator, truly the best thing to do right now is just stop the silly BS posts. Most of the members here left other forums like bikeland to get away from this kind of goofiness. This is a great forum with members doing their best to share what they've learned, most everyone is also very kind and respectful to everyone else.

Your son tried doing a nice thing for you but as an intelligent grown adult you probably should have known what you were posting was flat out unbelievably wrong.
