194 is no joke in a half mile (with a soft launch).

Too bad none of us will likely see one in person.

I'm with you. Not intending to hurt anyone's feelings that bought the H2, but this is a full "blown" track bike against a street legal car (forget all the arguments about price, etc.). How will the street legal H2 fare in this same race?

Still waiting to see what the street legal H2 is capable of in the quarter mile. No, Gadson's "hybrid" doesn't count. It's still H2R powered. Yes, I am reading on the Ninja H2 forum every day, waiting, waiting ............... All I see are comments that it is "very fast." OK, never believed in seat-of-the-pants opinions. BobC is the only one that has given us a hint of what it will do.

Let's be clear. I am not a hater. I was standing in the dealership during the ordering period deciding whether to drop $25k on this bike with my wife telling me to do it. I decided not to spend that kind of money on a "maybe."

..

184.674, but who's counting?

I don't know how that compares to anything else. What does a 14R do in a half mile? Maybe BobC or Shane can let us know.

I haven't run my 14R at the half mile, but I believe 185+ is likely.

A well set up 1635 Busa can run over 200 in the 1/2 mile. At about 270 hp to the wheel.

I think we should give the H2 some time. These things haven't been tweaked much yet. I personally don't think the 1/4 mile matters much with this bike, nor will produce great results (stock).

You've got to remember that the H2/H2R cannot use all it's power in the lower gears, at least not with the stock wheelbase.

To put this in context, we made a couple of demo' runs on my much less-powerful H2 at the British National Records meeting the other weekend. Barely run in and still restricted it picked up the front wheel in the first four gears and hit the engine limiter in sixth in around half the measured mile, indicating 189. Another 100bhp would have made little difference.
