Kawi is going way out on the limb hyping it with the "Built Beyond Belief" slogan.

They better deliver on that slogan as I have $$$ waiting to buy something new.

My Kawi spy tells me tells me the first 50 will not be street legal > Guess these go to racing teams .. Then the street legal Ninja H2 follows shortly after..

To recap what I have heard .

1000cc super charged 307 HP
8 power modes
high tech traction control
Trellis frame
single sided swing arm
carbon fiber parts

I don't no how the street bike will differ from the race bike but my guess would be some electronics to kill some HP like they did on the ZX10 and ZX14R ..But as we always do we remove that junk .. :)

Looks as if this bike is a road racing / street bike like the ZX10 ? Super light weight with a ton of HP and TQ , But just like in the past that has never stopped us from making them a drag bike or straight liner .. If its got the HP we will drag race it !!!!

The ZX10 and the zx14 remain unchanged for 2015.. So this New Ninja H2 looks to be a hole new bike ? Or is it down the road a replacement for the zx10 and zx14 ? A lot of questions and no answers yet .. On Sept 3rd Kawi will release another teaser video and i'll post it as soon as I see it .. They are doing the same thing that they did with a ZX14R by giving us a tiny bit of info at a time .. The bike release is in Nov ..

My kawi spy is feeding me info as he gets it and it will be posted here ..

What will they race against? :dunno:
It will not be allowed in any current 1000cc class (for obvious reasons! :D )

I was told the first 50 don't go to the dealers , They didn't tell me where they are going too , so my guess was they go to racers .. He said they were not street legal so were would they go ? Maybe guys like Ricky Gadson ? Maybe dealer shows or press releases like at Vegas ? I'm told the price on the first 50 is 50k each !!!! This first 50 will end up being collectors items for sure ...

My Kawi spys last words on this " It will be an incredible machine " We have to respect him and his reasons for not giving out more info ..

So now we wait for more teaser videos for more info .... :(

I think the H2 name was used not because of the size of the engine but because the 750 H2 changed what we knew about motorcycles at the time it came out ..It set a new standard on what was fast ..I think kawi is playing off the history of the H2 750 .. The game changer ..

Just saw this over at Roadracing World's site ... Looks like Germany gets it before we do :dunno:

Kawasaki To Introduce "Ninja H2" Sept. 30 In Germany

© 2014, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc. From a press release issued by Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.:

2015 KAWASAKI NINJA® H2

Kawasaki will produce a groundbreaking motorcycle, “Built Beyond Belief.”

With cutting-edge performance recognized worldwide as a core element of Kawasaki DNA, we are pleased to announce the company will showcase yet another groundbreaking motorcycle at the Intermot Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany, which opens its doors on September 30, 2014. While full details will be released in time, we can confirm this motorcycle will be “Built Beyond Belief.”

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2015 KAWASAKI NINJA H2:
To be named Ninja H2 in recognition of the original 1972 H2
Unveiled at Intermot, Germany on September 30
Developed using the skills of all areas of Kawasaki Heavy Industries
Online “Teaser” video campaign hosted at www.ninja-h2.com

The new motorcycle draws on skills and experience from experts not just within the company’s motorcycle division, but across its aerospace, gas turbine and other many other high technology manufacturing disciplines. Harnessing the power of the Kawasaki manufacturing group as its “collective strength,” the new project has been evocatively named the Ninja H2.

Kawasaki is anticipating huge international interest in the H2, which represents a unified approach in engineering and state-of-the-art technology. It captures the spirit of the 1972 750cc Kawasaki Mach IV H2. And, along with its predecessor, the 500cc three-cylinder H1, as well as the all-conquering 1972 903cc Z1 Super Four, these motorcycles epitomized Kawasaki’s performance image. They would also define the modern sportbike market as we know it today.

The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 project will add yet another name to the roll call of machines that embody Kawasaki’s engineering and performance expertise. And it will undoubtedly change the motorcycle landscape forever.

Couple things in no particular order.
The "ninja" name has already been watered down with bikes like the ninja 650r and 1000r.
What reason does Kaw have to debut this new "king of the hill bike" when they already basically own that with the 14r? It would seem as if they would be competing against themselves.
What racing class would a power adder bike be legal in? No road racing class that I know of.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it was something like a supercharged ninja 1000 putting out HP under a new zx10 or 14r. Just my opinion, who knows. Kawasaki is definitely doing a good job of hyping it up like they did with the 14r.

If it is 600-800cc or less than 4 cylinders they can keep it. Those bikes are for gurls!

No way of knowing for sure but that doesn't sound like a very large displacement engine to me. My guess is somewhere between 600-750cc.

It sounds like it could be a 1000cc....wonder what it would actually be priced at

For some reason I think maybe it will resemble a z1000 style??like a crazy hooligan style bike

I never buy new.

Two reasons I hope it's really a jump up; supercharged

1) will drop the cost of used 14R's

2) in a few years i can buy a used supercharged monster

I'm betting those first 50 go to the aftermarket for product development. Or atleast some of them will

Like my '08 Busa was VIN 000023 or whatever. It was #23 of the first initial 30 that were handbuilt, then those are sent out for the manufacturers/press release stuff/shows/etc...

That's how it was explained to me by Eddie Krawiec when I bought that #23 Busa from Vance & Hines. It was their "show bike" and exhaust testing and their website/advertisement/magazine image bike

I think Lee is probably right that it is at least 1,000 cc. Anything smaller would be a waste of advertizing because the 14R would still be faster. This has got to be a world beater otherwise there would be so many people dissing the bike on the internet that it would be bad for their reputation. It has got to be faster than the BMW HP4 and the Ducati Superleggera to keep their rep as building the fastest most powerful bikes on the planet. I'm more worried about the ergonomics as I'm an old fart and I need to sit up more than the sportbikes offer. Right now I have a 14R with the spiegler bar option so I can still do over 200mph while being comfortable when cruising.

I am guessing that they will be headed for a race track. Perhaps Moto GP or something similar.
They can't just say it is Built Beyond Belief, they will have to prove it.
Best,
Phil

It will almost have to be a drag bike as there aren't and roadracing venues I'm aware of that allow forced induction if indeed it has a supercharger.

I also hope Lee is correct!

But, back in 1983 Kawasaki put a Turbocharger on their GPZ 750 when they could have just as easily put it on the GPZ 1100 and then advertised their new 750 as the worlds fastest production bike. Back then it was a beast. Imagine if they had put the turbocharger on the 1100 instead of the 750? That type of thinking is what worries me now.

If I was a gambling gurl, I would still bet on 600-750cc. And as I said in a post before, anything less than 1000cc and 4 cylinders they can keep as that IMHO is NOT Built Beyond Belief.

I too am hoping for a 1000 with forced induction. May the Kawasaki Gods bless us with such a creation.

The bike in the second video doesn't have 307 hp, it would be chopping the throttle from the wheelies in every gear.
