I was looking into that bike when I bought Gary Dyes bandit.. Looks like a lot more invested than what they were asking for it!

Yessir I did! Its a monster! lol. Very civilized on the street. Trying to see how low I can get the boost. 11psi is it at the moment with the wastegate actuator that it has on it. 11psi is gonna be too much for 1st gear at the track. The bike sits up real high and is gonna be problematic getting it low due to the intercooler. Will get things figured out. I picked up an AMS1000 for it. Now I gotta work on getting a dual port actuator or modify the turbine housing for an external gate. Lots to do.

That sounds great, Im excited to see it! Is it using an FMU and tuned with PC III? Thats how my Hayabusa is setup. That will be interesting to see how the AMS1000 works. Should be a fun year at track for sure!

I meant to ask you, is there a bike dyno out here? DFW might be the closest. I was surprised when I found out there was a car dyno out here at a shop, so maybe there is a bike one.

Frank,

LOL! No FMU and no PC anything. This baby is OLD SKOOL! Yup, its carb'd...and STOCK CV carbs no less!

I don't know of a bike dyno close. I do know that Sabine in Dallas does good work and Johnny Cheese near Austin does excellent work.

Doh thats right, carbed! Blow thru carbed is almost better, once set up, it so much simpler, less to go wrong! I am not a big fan of the whole FMU concept, Im getting rid of mine pretty soon and try a 1:1.

What tire is on the bike? A long wheelbase turbo bike definitely puts a tire on trial!

Thats great Johnny Cheese is relatively close, I might take a trip down there at some point.

Right now the bike has a Pilot. Def NOT gonna hook up at the track. Its in need of replacement so i'll be getting a Shinko Hookup pretty soon.

I ordered a Hook Up for my Hayabusa last week from Amazon, amazing how much cheaper motorcycle tires are than car drag radials, thank God! One more week until Abilene opens, hopefully it doesn't turn to a sheet of ice again out here.

Are u gonna run your 14? I've been running mine with the OEM rear tire at SWB and it's been hooking so far.
Hopefully they prep it well so your turbo Busa will hook. I wanna see you run some good times on it!

Im going to try to bring both bikes probably since the track is open so little. I figure at least one will cooperate with me. Are you going to bring both of yours? I have a feeling its going to be packed so I might regret bringing two and sitting in line the whole day on one!

That would be great! You're so close, maybe the cold air will be just enough! Do you use a quick shifter or shift with the throttle?

That would be John Choat! I bought the 14r I have from him. He is a VERY good friend. He used to have a 01 Bandit 1200. He announces a lot of the time at the track in Abilene.
