Sam and I decided to change swingarms on the Turbo Busa from the one in the pic to one from Larry at Hardcore with his special lightweight underbracing. I'm not a fan of the underbracing on the swingarm on the bike now. The one now currently goes out to around 74" and the one we're getting is going to be adjustable from 71"-77". Not really going for much more length but, IMO anyhow, a better look. I'll see if I can dig up a pic of the one we're getting and post it. Sam hit the track for the first time this year on 3-15-14 with the new motor in the bike. We had a couple of worn components that I honestly should have changed even before ever going down the track and they failed. New chain and sprockets were needed and now they're going on the bike even before the new swingarm. Chain actually jumped off one time. I can't believe how lucky we were to get away with that. I'm going to get the same chain that we're running on the 14 as it's strong, lightweight and looks really good also with the chrome or polished side pieces. Everyone around here is now flying so we've got to really step it up to be even in the ballpark. It's funny to me that it's going to take an over 300 horsepower turbo bike to run with all the "stock" streetbikes that show up at the tracks.

I know it's not a Busa but this is the style of arm we're getting.

Damn near Wee. 172 I think is the length I ordered. Should be good for around 75" wheelbase. It won't really be much longer than what's on there now but the axle will be in the middle instead of the whole way to the back of the adjustment range. I will say this without hesitation now. Those rediculously long swingarms and chains sure do slow you down if you don't have the power to warrant them. Case in point: Our Baby Gixxer. We're going to need the long arm later but right now we've barely got enough power to turn the chain.

Got the new swingarm in now. Just have to get it istalled in time for the next race. Sam temporarily had the swingarm from the Baby Gixxer installed but the suspension geometry is all wrong with that arm when mounted on the Busa. New arm from Larry at Hardcore is a work of art IMO and I'm proud to have him building swingarms for us. He's a straight up kinda guy. I'll get installed pics posted as soon as we get it installed. Our partner in crime has been sick the past few days so we've got to wait until he feels better. Nothing happens without him and I just wanted to acknowledge to eveyone how important his contribution is to the overall effort. There are those that can operate solo and my hat's off to them. My racing venture has to be a group effort. Thank you to everyone involved both on the front lines and behind the scenes.
