I managed to “hit it” on this 2010! The C14 has never once left me walking. What it has done: RAILED curves the Rockies, Appalachian, Adirondacks, Catskills, and all the mountains in the Southwest Desert. Delivered me to Vegas and Atlantic City to roll dice more times than I can count. Been to the beaches on the west, east, and gulf coasts. Been to a cook-out in Canada, Maine for lobster, TX for brisket, KS for BBQ ribs, Vermont for fresh maple syrup, Bayous of Louisiana for cajun, Keys for Key Lime Pie and Lobster Reuben. Its been off roading in Moab, Utah and through cactus in AZ. It got me so lost in KY once, I ended up at Loretta Lynn’s home in butcher holler’. Its survived riding in the extreme heat of Death Valley and AZ in July, and ran fine in extreme cold and snow in Colorado (thank God for heated suits!). It’s stopped at Starbucks in most of the 50 states. Its taken me through NYC, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, DC, South Beach/Miami more times than I can count. If the next 100,000 is even half as crazy as the first has been, there are good times ahead!

I’ve been blessed with mileage, during the time I’ve owned this bike I’ve also rode a ton of miles on 5 others (even coast to coast trips, long off-road desert adventure trips, and many track days).

The reasons this bike has never left me walking and may last forever is:
Steve in Sunny FL has maintained the valves and major maintenance!
I run it HARD
The mad pow-ah of KiPass
Rotella T6 Oil

Things people suggested that I never bought into:
Radiator protection of any kind (and been warp speed down gravel roads in Utah and the Appalachian Mountains)
Headlight cover
Tires that don’t say “Michelin” on them
Pins for the panniers
An aftermarket seat
Risers
HIDs

Regrets
I haven’t installed Rostra cruise control
I use a great GIVI mount instead of the EPIC Phil’s mount

Warranty work done (none of these items left me walking!)
clutch slave cylinder
KiPass spring
rear brake bracket removal
TPS sensors replaced

Most useful mods I’ve done
FUZEblock
Sylvania ultra bright bulbs
USB port
Heated gear
throttlemeister
Cee bailey’s Ultra wind screen
GIVI 55 litre case

I remember when you bought it in Cherry Hill, N.J. I followed your winter trip home because you installed a GPS for tracking. I have enjoyed the pics from many of your trips. Show the bimmer boys that a Kawi can go a million. I hope I am around to see that. Good job. LSL

Yup Lee, it's staying to feel like it's a "finally broken in" bike. Looking forward to putting another 100k on it then paying it out on the ebay
