New bike added to the mix. Now if the weather would just cooperate so I can get some miles on it. :D
It's a 2012 with 520 miles on it found it on ebay just a couple of hours away and we couldn't pass it up.

Congratulations! Very nice. Been looking for the right deal myself....
May I ask what you paid for it? I have found some really good deals but most have been pretty far away.

$10,000, couldn't justify another two grand for a new 2012 (all the local ones were $11,999 at the dealers). The guy that owned this one was an older guy and has some health issues and needed it gone, he has only had it four months. He also had a CBR1100XX, Yamaha WS650, Yamaha FZ and an Aprilia with BST's all sitting in the garage with the Connie.

Thanks Dakota.....yep that is a great deal. Been looking at one ( 2012 black ) with some goodies on it, cox radiator guard, this and that....1700 miles and the 3 year extended warranty. 4 1/2 years total left on warrany and in as new condition. He wants $10500 and that is looking pretty good. It's a 1000 miles away though. :?

Again, congratulations. Stevewfl ( board member ) has about 80,000 miles on his and my friend here in Kentucky has 111,000 on his with no problems. He is at Barber Motorsports Park right now at the Vintage Motorcycle Races and Meet so will have even more miles when he gets back.

Thanks. The girlfriend and I plan on putting some miles on it this Monday. I have wanted one since I sat on one a few years back, I am excited.

Also, she and I are going to ride it out to Maryland International Raceway next Friday and I am going to run it in the Midnight Madness race. I have cut forks on the 14 so I have Brock's caliper mounts and a strap to make things a little easier launching. I hope to see some 10's but I haven't ridden a stock wheelbase bike at the strip in awhile. I plan on running with the bags on it. :D

Like it.
I got very close to buying one instead of the 14r.

If I came into extra cash I would park one in my garage also.

Put 230 miles on it today with the girlfriend. We love this bike! I think that I need a little taller windshield, I am almost 6'4" so I get a bit of buffeting. And we may put some peg extenders on the back for her, but other than that we couldn't be happier. :)

Well, I went to the track last Friday. It was definitely different racing something so big and not to mention stock wheelbase. I did add a strap that I had from my ZX14 since it was lying around because the 14 forks are now lowered internally. And after this we went for a 300 mile ride on Sunday. :)

First pass was an 11.31, second pass was a 11.14, third pass I forgot to turn the traction control off and it came on and killed power so it was only an 12.something. Unfortunately it was a normal Friday race night, so the next pass was eliminations, and I didn't know what to dial because the last pass felt pretty good before the traction control ruined it. I dialed and 11.05, cut and .061 light, 1.75 60', got near the stripe and didn't see anyone, so I got on the brake a bit, went across and....broke out. 11.03 Most fun I have ever had losing. That pass the 60' was over a tenth better than the 11.14 pass, so it would have been down in the 90's at least.

Put the bike on the scales and it was 685 pounds with almost a full tank, probably a gallon shy. With me fully suited it weighed 880. To put that into perspective, the ZX-14 and I usually weigh in at 640 pounds ready to race.

For the few interested, here are some pics and a video of my Round 1 loss. :)

Thanks man, it was a lot of fun. I think that I could run 10.80s on it with a few more passes, maybe another time. But I still want to get a few more passes in on the 14 this year before I transfer to California in December.
