I would like to know where I stand with other guys with same mods. I weighed my bike at the track last night and it was 518lbs. Total package 672lbs. Crazy thing is, I've been 3 mph faster in the 1/4 in better air. She may just go a low 50 this season!

I finally joined the 1.2 60ft club tonight! Went to TNT with my good friends tonight and had a blast! Even though I didn't back it up, close enough. 1.301 was close enough. My second to last pass I finally got to race my good friend Traci Farr. She has always beat me. I had my chance since her bike was setup for 8.80 index. We have tried to race since her and Brady started coming out to the track again. Well of
Course when Brady saw what I was running tonight he turned her throttle up. She rides a 1440 Suzuki bar bike. So her at 3/4 throttle went 8.44. Her bike is so damn fast! It was the end of the night and I said screw it I'm gonna leave harder and see if I could go a 1.2, and it finally did! It wheelied it's ass off, and wasn't my quickest overall, but pretty damn cool!

Thanks Ozzy! :wootrock: I finally got my video up from my quickest overall pass and my best 60ft. I wish you could see the front tire a little better, but this is a pretty cool angle!

It's a 1441 bar bike with a slider. They have a throttle stop on it cause she usually races 8.80 index. They haven't came out in a long time but my good friend (her husband) finally got his new bike together, so they started coming out again. She went 9.0 the first pass, but her and I have been trying to line up since I got my bike figured out. She has ALWAYS beat me, and I had my chance. Her husband turned her throttle up to 3/4, our first pass she ended up with an oil leak and I made a single and went 8.65. They got her bike fixed and she went 8.65 right behind me. Then We finally got our race and she went 8.44. Brady told me that's the quickest 60' she has been on that bike. To put it into perspective, she went from 138mph to 151mph against me. Damnit. Lol

Brady had me sit on it cause her bike wasn't leaving right. Him, and Traci's dad, Marshall Farr, got it setup right. Marshall was a pioneer of NHRA drag bike racing.

Bar bike with slider clutch, that explains a lot but she still got a dam good 60'. What that does show is just how good you and your bike are, especially considering you basically just lowered, long arm, pipe and tune.

Yeah, her bike is no joke! Hell I don't even have a tune! Just a flash. I'm thinkin about hooking my pcv back up and see if that helps my mph. I pulled my clutch out last night just to check everything since it has been running so well, and after I measured everything I'm hoping I got some numbers wrong cause I only ended up with a stack height of 2.095 and it's a brand new clutch. So, I will measure again tonight.

Finally got in the 50's tonight. Had a nasty mishap at the beginning of the night, but last pass of the night I finally got there. The track was closing and I made 2 passes back to back. Still stock shock, stock shifter, stock clutch.

Someone has to make everyone else look good and I usually fill the bill But at 77 yrs old all they can say is they beat an old man :) I have been whiitling away for the last couple of months from 10.40 @ 144 to Wednesday nites best so far ..
2013 with only modification being 2 inch drop in rear and 1 inch in front. Stock even to the Bridgestones with 37# in the rear .
My personal goal was to have and ride a 9 second street bike ..I think I found it :)

Image

I do plan on doing the shockk setting and see just how far down the nines the 14 will go. I have the advantage of 132 # in gear, to help offset teh poor reflexes. reading these posts have been very informative..I am sure the knowledge here has helped my attempts ..Thanks especially to Maverick whose posts are straightforward and easily understood..

LEGAL Real Street bike. 1580cc All motor. Bike weighs 485# so this Winter we will try to shave some off with one fr. rotor, cut radiator, etc. Low mph as it still has an old Power one , needs a new hook-up. Bike has run as fast as 173 if you want to see that slip. Best 60' is 1.30 so far. Here is a video of it that I posted in the build section. Steve is next to the bike, he let a friend ride it so he could watch the launch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-WVmDJ ... e=youtu.be LSL

Best pass ever this past weekend. Cut some weight off the 14 with some Catalyst bodywork. The 5.54 pass had better MPH.

Well I finally broke down and put an air shifter on my bike this last week. I figured since we only have 2 TNT's left for the season. I definitely broke my record over foot shifting, but not by much. It went from going from mid to high 8.50's to low to mid 8.50's. I'm definitely happy with it. The track was ok at the beginning, so I was kind of hot lapping. After just a few passes, the distance from my bar to engage increased quite a bit and it messed me up. Either I wheelied or I was lazy on the clutch. Figure I'll pull it out this week and put some thick fibers in it and try for 40's on the last night of the season. These are my 5 best tonight. :wootrock: :wootrock:

I think he went 5.39@132 or 133. I definitely don't have that kind of mph. I have been 129 and 156 but that's the fastest it has been.

Well.. After replacing teh clutch , still stock springs n stuff , I managed to nip a lil bit more of et and add a lil bit to mph...
I know the reaction time sucked but aside from that I am at least still moving in hte right direction...This sure is taking a long time tho...I keep forgetting that last year my only goal was to get my street bike into the nines :)
